Sunny slopes, easy ascent, amazing descent - that is ski touring at the Kreuzköpfl
The tour to the Kreuzköpfl is known as a fairly easy tour. As soon as you have left the beginning section, which is steep and pretty tangly, you will find amazing ski hills. The views into the Hohe Tauern, the Hoher Tenn and the Wiesbachhorn are one of the geatest from the Kreuzköpfl.
The way to the Kreuzköpfl
Directly at the hotel Lampenhäusl the tour starts and takes you first of all to the area of the Sulzbach, a little creek coming from the mountain - distance from the hotel about 500 meters. We follow the little road to the Sulzbach and reach the Sulzbachalm after a few turns on the elevationof about 1.280 meters.
From here we follow the route of the sommer-trail over nice hills and reach the Sulzbach-Hochalm on 1.510 meters. From here the way up becomes a bid steeper until we reach the Kammerer-Hochalm. On top of this nice pasture, we have to find the right way through the trees - there will be a track for sure. The summit and the beautiful cross can be reached from here to the south over nice hills and an areas, which is not too difficult to climb.
Those of you, who want to enjoy stunning view to the lake Zell, can climb the summit from the Sulzbach-Hochlam over a ridge, which is a bid more difficult to climb. The ridge brings you to the summit in North-West-direction and the whole route is more demanding.
