Hiking and walking
Hiking, walking and running around the hotel Lampenhäusl in Fusch a.d. Glocknerstraße in the region Großglockner-Zellersee.
Outside there is still night - all the others are still sleeping. Looking out of the window you see some people up on the campground. It is a fresh morning, there is still some fog all over the valley. But up the hills you can see the sun coming up. Together with some people from the campground you start your hike - this will be a great day in the mountains.
We know, the word “Hohe Tauern” sounds pretty high and extreme and some of the mountains and routesb truly are. But not all of them. In the region around the hotel Lampenhäusl there are plenty of options for easy-going and fairly “normal” hikes and walks. If you bring your runners or your walking poles, you will have a great time in the region around the hotel Lampenhäusl.
There is the hike up to the “Gleiwitzerhütte”, an alpine hut fairly high up the mountains - ok, its long and steep, but the trail is not challenging at all. If you want to take it even more easily, try to find the trails towards Bad Fusch, the Brandstein or the Honalalm. The Fuscher Höhenweg, a nice path up the hill in Fusch is a good track for running and walking. Not steep and not complicated, but nice and beautiful. Experienced walkers and runners can try to find their way up to the Bruckerberg, but you have to be in good shape for that. The trails and paths around Fusch are more easy-going.
