Not just high alpine
We know, the word “Hohe Tauern” sounds pretty high and extreme and some of the mountains and routesb truly are. But not all of them. In the region around the hotel Lampenhäusl there are plenty of options for easy-going and fairly “normal” hikes and walks. If you bring your walking poles, hiking boots or your runners, you will have a great time in the region around the hotel Lampenhäusl.

Hiking tour to the Ponyhofalm
The Ponyhofalm is a beautiful place, which is run by the family's old generation with much passion and lifeblood - and it is located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern. The hike is fairly easy going and a nice trip for the whole family. At the altitude of about 1.400 meters visitors can find a great pasture with amazing views into the mountains of the Hohe Tauern.

Hiking tour to the Walchen Hochalm
The hike to the Walcher Hochalm is a real highlight in Fusch. Not just because of the Alm and the views, just because of the path to the Alm. The motto is, "the way is the goad". The hike takes you behind a waterfall. Behind that waterfall you will find a great spot to stop and take a rest. Fotospot guaranteed.

Hiking along the Gamsgrubenweg
... all right in the middle of the Hohe Tauern national park. It starts at the Franz Josef Höhe, one of the most impressive stops along the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße. The Gamsgrubenweg takes the visitors into the fascinating nature right next to the highest peaks of Austria. Adventure, knowledge, healthy workout - and all of it with those stunning views.

Hiking tour in the Sulzbachtal
... in a beautiful, eastern side valley of Fusch. The Sulzbachtal is a pasture area with some operated huts and exceptional nature. The Sulzbachtal is also a great spot for flyfishing. The Sulzbach-creek is part of the flyfishing-area "Fuscher Ache" and is home to a great population of trouts.

Hiking tour Gleiwitzerhütte
The hike to the Gleiwitzerhütte is a classic hike in Fusch. The way takes hikers into a stunning valley high above the village - you can get a great alpine feeling without going on a super hard hike and the way is not as steep as you may think. You will get quite close to the high mountains of the Hohe Tauern.

Hiking tour Schwarzenberghütte
Who knows Ferleiten and likes the landscape along the Großglockner Hochalpenstraße, will also love the hike to the Schwarzenberghütte. A stunning trip through impressive high-alpine-surroundings. The path is steep and hikers have to do many steep turns - take your time and enjoy the landscape and the views.
