With our without a ride to the "Kitzbüheler Horn" a real highlight
The Kitzbüheler Horn is well known by ambitious roadbikers. Well known from the Austrian national roadbike event the "Österreich Radrundfahrt", the Kitzbüheler Horn is the center of this tour. You do not have to climb this steep ascent though. You can enjoy this tour from the valley too. There are numerous attractions apart from that.
The way to Kitzbühel and back
Just like the city of Kithbühel - this tour is amazing too. You wont see many of the the rich and beautiful of the famous winter-skiing-hotspot. We start the tour in the Hotel Lampenhäusl. Via Bruck we ride along the eastern shore of the lake Zell until we reach Saalfelden. From here we take the road towards Leogang, Hochfilzen and Fieberbrunn until we reach St.Johann in Tirol. From here we take side-roads towards Kitzbühel - the Kitzbüheler Horn is close - shall we try a steep climb?
After Kitzbühel, there is a long climb waiting for us, as we approach the Pass Thurn, which takes us back to Salzburg. After a long ascent to the highest point of the pass, there is a nice descent waiting AND unforgettable views to the Hohe Tauern in the back. In Mittersill we take nice side roads through Stuhlfelden, Niedernsill, Piesendorf until we reach Kaprun. Via the castle of Kaprun we reach Bruck and finally make our way back to Fusch, where the Hotel Lampenhäusl is waiting for us.

A TIPP from Heli:
An amzing tour for riders in good shape and roadbikers with real ambitions. Bloody beginners should not to the entire tour - it might be to long. Not only because of the distance. The traffic and the main roads can be tricky and there are not always nice side-roads as alternatives.
Enjoy your tour and take your time - especially over the Pass Thurn. The ascent is long and the views to the surrounding mountains of the Hohe Tauern are unforgettable. After some minutes of watching and taking pictures, there is the speedy descent to Mittersill waiting for you.
