Hike into the Sulzbachtal

Nice and stunning hike with great views.

... in a beautiful, eastern side valley of Fusch. The Sulzbachtal is a pasture area with some operated huts and exceptional nature. The Sulzbachtal is also a great spot for flyfishing. The Sulzbach-creek is part of the flyfishing-area "Fuscher Ache" and is home to a great population of trouts.

The way into the Sulzbachtal

It starts fairly relaxed right at the Hotel Lampenhäusl and takes us out of the valley. We leave the gas station behind and cross the Fuscher Ache creek. After a few hundred meters we reach the gravel road to the Sulzbachbauern. From the Sulzbachbauern we will find the gravel road on the right hand towards the Angereralm and into the Sulzbachtal.

Easily uphill and through a couple of turns we reach the Sulzbauch Hochtal and follow the path further on, until we reach the Sulzbachalm. The alm is bid up the hill and can be reached by taking the path 1 B. Who wants to follow the path further into the valley, will reach the Kammerer Grundalm on approx. 1.400 meters. From there you can also reach the Kammerer Hochalm.

TIPP from the Lampenhäusl

The hike into the Sulzbachtal is a nice hike in one of the most beautiful side valleys of Fusch. Not only by feet, this trip is great, Bike & Hike is a good alternative. The gravel road towards the Sulzbachalm is also a Mountainbike route. Take the tour to the Sulzbachalm, leave your bike there and keep on hiking to the Sulzbach Hochalm. Or you make a round trip - take the path to the Sulzbach Hochalm and take a different path back to the valley via the Badhausalm.

For hikers with ambitions, who wants to reach a summit too, we have a much harder path to offer - from the Sulzbach Hochalm to the summit of the Kreuzköpfl at 2.094 meters. Great views in the world of the Hohe Tauern are included. If you take the way back via the Kammerer-Hochalm, you have completed a great loop. This could become a long day. Good, in the Hotel Lampenhäusl, the Sauna is already waiting for you and in the restaurant you can enjoy tasty food with ingredients from the region. The power will return to your muscles and there is another great hike or mountainbiketour planned for the next day.
