This tour we also start directly at the Hotel Lampenhäusl. Have a good breakfast, you will need the energy on one of the most beautiful mountainbike tours of the region. We take the bike path out the valley towards Bruck. After about 6 kilometers the tour starts ascenting on a gravel road - always follow the MTB signs. If you do so, you will come along the Hahneck (1.301 m) and the Rettenbachkopf (1.436 m) and after 10 kilometers you will reach the top of the tour.
On the hightes point there is this trail starting. It takes you playful over meadows and takes you after about 400 vertical meters to the Judendorfer (Ponyhof Alm). Here on the Ponyhof Alm we will meet many hikers, as this is a famous hike in the region. After a cozy break in the Ponyhof Alm we follow the gravel road into the valley of Fusch. Stephan's TIPP - mountainbikers know more:
The special thing on this tour are not just the views to the Hohe Tauern, but also the panorama over the famous lake Zell near Zell am See. If the weather is nice in summer, you should take a spin to the lake and go for a short swim before you start your tour to the Bruckerberg.
In summer we always start this tour quite early. So it is not so hot in the morning - major parts of the ascent are into the sun. The road is outside of the forest, which means, you'll have amazing views over the valley, the lake and the mountains. The short trail to the Ponyhof is a classic trail in the region - it is lot of fun. The tour is also nice in fall, when the forest is in autumn colors and the mountains of the Hohe Tauern are covered in the first snow of the winter-season - you won't forget these pictures.
Cu on tour - we look forward to your visit!
